Overview:

Imerman Angels is a young, exciting, grassroots nonprofit organization that provides 1-on-1 cancer support cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers living anywhere in the world. We are looking for help from skilled and fun people to support our fast-paced growth and provide assistance to our staff, volunteers and executives. This position is unpaid and provides valuable work experience, references, and access to a wonderful network.

Primary Functions

• Work with team of staff and volunteers to design content to help promote our service and events

• Design graphic media for print and online use. Sample projects include:

• event fliers and invitations

• social media posts

• email and newsletter design

• letter templates

• recruitment materials

• business cards

• Photos - cataloging, tagging and editing photos from events for use in materials and online

• Some video and other multimedia

Required Skills & Experience:

• Excellent design skills

• Advanced experience with design software and related suites

• Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated 

• Willingness to work cooperatively with staff and volunteers 

• Strong work ethic, a good sense of humor, a friendly personality

Preferred Background:

• Design experience or education

• Experience with Google Sites and/or Google Apps

Time commitment:

• Variable, depending on availability with a minimum of 15 hours per week, for a minimum 6 month commitment (preference will be given to candidates able to commit longer)

• Must have availability during business hours at least 2 days per week
