Event Chair - Chicago Fire Event
Help plan and execute 2nd annual Chicago Fire Event to benefit Imerman Angels event under supervision of Imerman Angels Event Director.
Chicago Fire Event Aug. 8, 2010 6 - 11pm Requirements:
- Be available for 2 meetings a month
- Event related experience
- Be available to work April - end of June
- Be available for bi-weekly event update conference calls (15 - 30 min.) during business hours most likely lunchtime.
- Work the entire event the day of from setup to cleanup.
- Be enthusiastic about Imerman Angels and this wonderful event!!
Duties can include: - Event promotion
- Create content and exclusive event ideas to continually improve the event
- Create content/ideas to drive home the mission of IA to each guest who attends or hears about the event.
- Finding add'l PR/Media opportunites pre and post event
- Research and secure vendors/donors/sponsors
- Handle merchandising/inventory for the event
- Organizing marketing materials needed for event and help to order/create it if item doesn't exist
- Manage social networking tools to spread the word
- Help with logistics of the event.
- Ticketing site management
- Serve as a point person the night of the event.
- Help to coordinate other volunteers
- Support marketing for the event
- Assist in creating a template for future events - To do lists, checklist of inventory/vendors, etc
Post event close out - - wrapping up totals
- thanking donors/sponsors/guests
- post event press
- organizing photos
- closing out merchandise and reorganizing it
- event debrief so we can continually improve
