Overview:
Imerman Angels is a young, exciting, grassroots nonprofit organization that connects cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers with a Mentor Angel - a friendly and experienced peer to provide 1-on-1 cancer support. The service is available to anyone of any gender with any type of cancer living anywhere in the world.

The Marketing Committee Chair leads an active group of volunteers to help achieve the Imerman Angels mission and vision through collaborative, progressive marketing initiative and projects.


Primary Duties:

  • Support overall marketing needs of all Imerman Angels-related programs
  • Lead and manage a volunteer committee including:
    • host and facilitate monthly meetings
    • volunteer recruitment, support, & follow-up
  • Ensure timely delivery of committee marketing projects
  • Make marketing strategy recommendations to Director of Events & Communications 
  • Represent the Imerman Angels mission and core values to the community at large
  • Through marketing efforts, Increase the number of incoming cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers in the Imerman Angels network

Reports To:

Director of Events & Communications


Time commitment:

  • Initial 6 month commitment
  • 4-12 hours per month

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous marketing and/or media experience
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Organized and personable
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational and follow-through abilities
  • General awesomeness

Preferred Background:
    • Cancer Survivor
