Outreach and Awareness Intern Imerman Angels Overview: Imerman Angels is a young, exciting, grassroots nonprofit organization that provides 1-on-1 cancer support cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers living anywhere in the world. We are looking for help from passionate and qualified people to support our fast-paced growth and provide assistance to our staff, volunteers and executives. This position provides the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, references, and access to a wonderful network. Internship credit is available for participating schools. General Functions Track and organize key constituent information Support and improve general office and administrative operations Contribute to social media/ electronic newsletter content Increase the impact of the Imerman Angels mission through events/programs Provide support for Imerman Angels events/programs Outreach Responsibilities Grassroots outreach through Social Media Identify and solidify street team events Build relationships within the medical community Contact medical, treatment and cancer centers Cultivate speaking opportunities, meetings and opportunities Maintain local outreach presence Develop targeted outreach campaign by: zip code incidence and cancer type Help build Angel Ambassadors program Required Skills & Experience Excellent verbal, written and general computer skills (advanced use of Microsoft Excel) Organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, takes initiative Advanced use of social media Ability to work independently Willingness to work cooperatively with staff and volunteers Strong work ethic, a good sense of humor, a friendly personality Developed attention to detail Preferred Background Cancer Survivor Experience with Google applications |
